Bunker Walk 3.4km Loop

Follow white rocks
While at Possum Park why not take in the sights and enjoy walking around the 20 WWII ammunition storage bunkers.
1-8 & 10-16 are locked storage bunkers, 9 is an open bunker, 17,19,20 are accommodation, 18 is the park office. Julie and David are the owners of Possum Park.
This is a pleasant 3.4km walk that can be completed within the hour and is easily marked with white distance markers for your convenience.
Caution! Possible caravans and cars on road especially the last 1.4km back to camp.
Above Bunker Walk 3.1km Loop

Follow rusty red rocks
This is the most challenging of the fire trail walks, with lots of uneven surfaces and occasional termite mound that may have popped up overnight.
Caution! This walk follows the cliff edge with an unfenced lookout (Sunset Lookout) not suitable for small children. Also possible caravans and cars on road, especially the last 900m back to camp. Unless you take the alternative walk behind the dam and up the steep hill.
Dry Forest Walk 2.7km Loop

Follow green rocks
This is the flattest and widest of the fire trial walks, but does still have some uneven surfaces.
You may come across some kangaroos and wallabies early in the morning and you will always hear a variety of bird calls.
Caution! Possible caravans and cars on road, especially the last 900m back to camp.
Sunset Lookout Walk 1.2km Return

Follow yellow rocks
This is a nice easy 600m walk to the sunset lookout. Start your walk just behind the campfire following the yellow rocks. You will walk along the edge of the dry forest on your right and open grass plains on your left.
You will cross the forest & above bunker walks to come to the sunset lookout, now with two bench chairs. Return 600m the way you came making this a 1.2km walk or alternatively follow the (Red Rocks – Above Bunker Walk) or (Green Rocks – Forest Walk) back to camp.
Caution! This walk ends at an unfenced cliff and not suitable for small children.
Quarry Walk 1.1km figure 8 loop

No blue rocks yet
A nice morning walk that seems to have a variety of smaller birds like fairywrens, thornbills, doves, and grey- crowned babblers. Also wallabies and kangaroos seem to like this area and the open plains beyond the WWII perimeter fence.
Caution! This walk is short and steep in areas, usually best for fit birders that are steady on the feet over uneven ground.
WWII Perimeter Fence & Checkpoint Walk 400m

Follow Orange rocks
The latest fire trail walk is just 400m long. Starting just behind the communal fire pit and ends at the unpowered camping area close to the BBQ and camp kitchen.
This walk fallows the old checkpoint fence that is currently being repaired. The checkpoint was created to inspect airforce men for cigarettes and other flammables from being brought into the bunkers where the bombs were stored.
Once you cross the bunker walk road the checkpoint fence joins up with the WWII 17 strand barbed wire perimeter fence. This runs 5km around the Possum Park property.
Caution! Rusty barbed wire on WWII perimeter fence.
Starting points

Most walks start just behind the communal fire pit, except the quarry walk, that starts through the holding yard gate behind the washing lines.
